School Houses
The students studying in classes 3rd onwards have been divided into four Houses. The purpose of this division is to create opportunities for students to compete in various activities- Speeches, debates, exhibitions, sports, matches, art competitions, dance competition, singing competitions etc.
The Four Houses are:
RIG HOUSE, YAJUR HOUSE, ATHARV HOUSE, SAAM HOUSE,
after the names of the four Veds
RIG VED, SAAM VED, YAJUR VED and ATHARV VED.
The member-students of these Houses are called:
Each House has a colour of its own, a House flag, and each House has a leader known as the House Captain. The House Captain is assisted by House Vice-captain and Prefects.
The Captain, Vice Captain, Prefects and members of the House work as a team, and aim to achieve the best position in every sphere and competition.
The Children learn leader-ship skills, managing skills, team-work skills and above all, they learn to grow disciplined.
The Captain and Vice-captain of the House are elected by the member-students of the House themselves by casting vote in favour of the boy/girl they feel can lead their House in the best possible way.
(The process of election may vary as per the decision of the School Management)
Each House has a House Captain (Student), House Vice-Captain (student), House Prefects (students), Members (students), House-Warden (Teacher), Member-teachers.
The School Head Boy and Head Girl too are appointed, who supervise the working of all the Houses in coordination with House Captains and Vice Captains.
